TeleTech Signs 5-Year Agreement With Brazilian Federal Telecommuncations Regulatory Agency

DENVER, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: TTEC), a leading global provider of customer relationship management (CRM) services and solutions, today announced that it signed a 5-year agreement with Anatel, the Brazilian Federal Telecommunications Regulatory agency.

Anatel, a Brazilian governmental agency that operates independently of the government regulated telecommunications providers, is responsible for coordination, control and regulation of all telecommunication activities in Brazil, including telephony, radio and cable.

Under terms of the agreement, TeleTech will provide information to consumers and businesses about the telecommunications, internet and television markets in Brazil, as well as handle the public's claims and disputes with telecommunications providers.

TeleTech will provide both outsourced and facilities management services whereby the majority of the 24x7 operation will be managed in a TeleTech facility with the remaining operations managed in an Anatel-owned facility.

In addition to inbound information requests and claims management, TeleTech will provide back office support to interface between Anatel and the telecommunications operators affected by the claims and disputes.

"We are pleased to partner with Anatel to provide a valuable public service in the regulated Brazilian telecommunications marketplace," commented Ken Tuchman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "As the Brazilian telecommunications industry deregulates over the next couple of years, customer relationships will become the primary competitive differentiator. Anatel plays a vital role in monitoring customer satisfaction as multinationals vie for increased market share in this important Latin American marketplace."
