Teach for America: TeleTech Transforms the Educational Experience for 550 High School Students
The TeleTech Community Foundation is funding the Teach For America teaching staff at North High School in Denver, Colorado who collectively impact more than 550 students daily. In addition, TeleTech employees are offering their business expertise to help Teach For America build a strong, sustainable, and fiscally responsible organization as it seeks to double its presence in the state of Colorado.
Book Trust: TeleTech Purchases Thousands of Children's Books to Promote Early Literacy
Through Book Trust, TeleTech's corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colorado and the company's delivery center in Moundsville, West Virginia are each sponsoring monthly book purchases for more than 300 kindergarten and first grade students at two local elementary schools. TeleTech employees generously donated to this cause, contributing to the purchase of more than 3,000 books and volunteering in the classrooms each month to read to the young schoolchildren.
Spirit of the Season: TeleTech Donates Innovative Learning Tools to Enable Technology-Rich Classrooms
In late 2012, TeleTech and the TeleTech Foundation brought the “Spirit of the Season” to life for more than 600 of Denver Public School’s University Prep students and families. For the eighth consecutive year, TeleTech employees decided to forgo their corporate holiday party and instead dedicated those funds to creating a magical experience for community members in need. The employees volunteered thousands of hours preparing the event, which included a holiday meal, gifts, games, crafts, and a visit from Santa. In addition, TeleTech purchased 10 SMARTboards and mobile carts for the school.
Denver Art Museum: TeleTech-Sponsored Children's Activity Area Attracts 80,000 Visitors
The TeleTech-sponsored Just for Fun center at the Denver Art Museum provides children with a dedicated space to explore hands-on art activities. Building with blocks, creating drawings based on famous architect sketches, and dressing up in ancient Egyptian costumes are just a few of the many activities that may be found in the Just for Fun center which attracted more than 80,000 visitors this past year.
Hope for Haiti: TeleTech Funds Reconstruction of Primary School After Earthquake
In January 2010, more than 5,000 TeleTech employees, clients, and family members volunteered to staff MTV's Hope for Haiti telethon. Collectively, they handled more than 80,000 calls across 42 locations on six continents, collecting donations from around the globe while contributing to the success of the highest grossing telethon in history. In response, the TeleTech Community Foundation has partnered with Hope for Haiti, a U.S.-based organization committed to providing the children of Haiti with access to a quality education, to fund the reconstruction of Dominique Savio school in Port-au-Prince, which serves 500 students from some of the poorest communities in Haiti.
