TeleTech and Habitat for Humanity Partner to Support Typhoon Yolanda Victims

Construction of Multi-Purpose Center on Bantayan Island, Cebu to Kick Off This September

Makati, August 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEC), a leading global provider of customer experience, engagement and growth solutions delivered through its proprietary end-to-end HumanifyTM Customer Engagement as a Service offering, today announced a partnership with Habitat for Humanity to help victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Cebu province, Philippines.

TeleTech partners with community organizations to support growth in the communities in which they operate, and seeks opportunities to make a long-term impact with these initiatives. Habitat for Humanity was on top of the list of potential community partners for the local TeleTech team thanks to the organization’s global presence and proven track record in building infrastructures for underserved communities worldwide. Together the team initiated Project Strong to support local residents in need through a variety of efforts.

To kick off the Project Strong initiative, TeleTech and Habitat for Humanity will build a Multi-Purpose Center (MPC) for the residents of a relocation site in Barangay Maricaban, Bantayan Island, Cebu City. The residents come from different areas severely devastated by Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013. 146 units (73 duplexes) have already been completed for the community, and residents are in need of a MPC to be used as a day care center, community town hall venue, training and workshop venue, among others. Construction will begin in September 2017 and is expected to be completed in 4 months.

The partnership was made official when the Memorandum of Agreement was signed at the Habitat for Humanity Philippines Makati office on August 10, 2017. Present during the ceremony were Paul Doctolero and TeleTech Principal Analyst Franco Panopio together with the Habitat team led by Mike Meaney - Managing Director, Lala Baldelovar – OIC Resource Development and Communications Director and Joey Rosel - Resource Development Manager.
